EDNA MAGUIRE SCHOOL, MILL VALLEY CA
The emergency HOG is stored upright inside the School's emergency container. The vertical orientation is for maximum gravity flow, held in place by the HOG Wall Kit. Water is removed and replaced yearly.
The School also has four additional HOGs storing rainwater for use on the gardens.
EMERGENCY WATER FOR TWO + CAT
Lynn has cleverly positioned her Emergency HOG beneath an existing outside faucet so that refilling is easy. She plans to eventually lie her HOG on a red hand truck so that the water can easily be rolled into other locations should the need arise.
Meanwhile, her HOG sits, stable, secure and discrete, just below the window line and holding enough water to serve a couple and their cat for over two weeks. It can be walked on, dropped on and shaken but the robust design of HOG means the tank won't tip or roll, and the water won't spill.
FAMILY EMERGENCY WATER STORAGE IN SAN FRANCISCO, CA
This 5-person family also has two pets. They now have enough potable water stored in these three HOG tanks to ensure they can live comfortably for two weeks without city water connection.
In a city renowned for earthquakes and with an ageing water and electrical infrastructure, ensuring enough water for two weeks is realistic.
